LISTENING TOURS

Each year we talk with parents, students, teachers, and administrators across the Kansas City education community. We use focus groups, interviews, and surveys to determine each school's biggest challenge(s). This foundational research helps us identify the right solution to help each school community address some of their most complex problems.

THE MOST PRESSING NEEDS OF KANSAS CITY SCHOOLS
We sought to understand the most pressing needs of Kansas City schools by framing the conversation around the skills students would need to engage in a rapidly-changing world. Our education community identified and defined three broad categories they believed necessary to prepare students for the future: social-emotional learning, basic skills (literacy and numeracy), critical thinking.
