LESSON PLAN TEMPLATE ACTION STEPS

  1. As with the first recommendation in the Navigation section, it would be helpful to have step-by-step instructions pop-up somewhere on the Lesson Plan so teachers know where to start, what features are optional/mandatory, and what each feature will do. (See PowerPoint recommendations below for more on this point.)

    • “Needs more instructions and help options.”

  2. Add an option to create “weekly” lesson plans wherein five separate lessons for each day of the week could be created in one lesson plan template (rather than creating five different lesson plan templates for each day).  This could also include an option for teachers to have separate spaces for different small group instruction.  A majority of teachers - especially at the elementary level - turn in weekly lesson plans, so it would be very helpful to them to have a weekly lesson plan template that lets them plan the whole week in one place.

    • “I usually have one document/lesson plan for each week, all tied together by an anchor text, and Pango gave me no way to do this. Instead it required me to make different units for each day, which didn’t make sense.”

  3. Consider pre-filling all section titles with “Section 1,” “Section 2,” etc. so that it becomes more clear to teachers that each section is already customizable.
