LESSON PLAN TEMPLATE STRENGTHS

1. Most teachers thought the lesson plan layout was well-organized and helpful in reminding them of important components of lessons (i.e. lesson design and objectives).  They also liked that they could add and move sections around and color-code.

   • “I liked how I could make lesson plans within the same platform where I can search for resources, because it makes the process easier.”

   • “You can scoot sections around. It was easier to manipulate than a traditional Word or Google doc.”

   • “I liked being able to color code things in the lesson plan.”

2. All teachers liked that Pango had the ability to link existing, external resources as well as link new resources they discovered within Pango into the lesson plan.

   • “Being able to have links inserted in the lesson plans was a huge plus, as well as being able to quickly access documents to be shared with students.”

   • “I like that Pango allowed me to pull in resources from outside of the system to add to my lesson plan while also providing resources.”

3. The template format builds consistency across school teams by providing a way for them to standardize their lesson planning.

• “Whole school teams can identify the headers they want to use for all teachers.”

• “It would make it easier when we have to substitute for other classes or have substitutes.”
